SD-MemoryDrive‡U is unique SD-IDE adapter by Zentek and uses SD/SDIO host controller, CG200. It connects to the PCfs IDE cable so that a SD memory can be recognized as a main storage device by the system instead of storing data in a hard disk. It is bootable from a SD memory. Significant difference of using a SD memory is seen in the system power consumption and mobility.
The data transfer is fast and sustained around around 22.5MB/s, almost same as a hard disk due to the high speed SD memory controller(ATA44, Ultra-DMA mode 3). Also, it is 50% faster than similar products for the CF card.
